• The Story •
In actuality, it had been untouched since 2008, but it was clearly showing its age. Flash banners abounded, and none of the pages fit properly on either large screens or mobile phones. The site created the impression that the company was out-of-date, so it was time for a redesign.

2016 Redesign
Graphic designer Julie Fingerman has been working with Banner for a long while and has a deep understanding of who they are and what the redesign should look like, but she needed a partner who could build a responsive web site that allowed Banner to update and tweak their content in-house. Fortunately, the development team at Jimijon are practiced hands at solving exactly this kind of problem.
Development: Julie provided us with Photoshop layouts designed for a large desktop monitor, and I adapted these designs to fit tablets and mobile phones. Joomla was chosen as the CMS to manage it all. I installed Master Bootstrap, a blank Joomla theme built on Twitter Bootstrap, created HTML modules and articles for the content, and translated the design specs into CSS.
